Starting with Serengeti National Park, it is renowned for its annual Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles traverse the vast plains in search of fresh grazing grounds. The park’s sprawling savannahs, dotted with acacia trees and rocky outcrops, create a picturesque backdrop for unforgettable game drives. Serengeti is home to the Big Five—elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, and buffalos—as well as cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, and an abundance of bird species.
Tarangire National Park, located southwest of Arusha, is known for its dense elephant populations. The park’s landscape is dominated by the Tarangire River, which serves as a vital water source, attracting a variety of wildlife during the dry season. In addition to elephants, Tarangire is famous for its large herds of zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, and various antelope species. Exploring the park on a game drive or guided walking safari allows visitors to appreciate its unique flora and fauna up close.
