Tai is a Swahili word meaning “Eagle” This 6 Days Safari Tai Kenya commence from Nairobi Hotel or Jomo Kenyatta international airport and ends at Nairobi Kenya. Guest on this safari will visit Masa mara national Lake Naivasha and Amboseli national park, During this safari chances a high of sporting the “BIG FIVE” among other wild animals and different species of birds.

Itinerary

DAY 1

NAIROBI HOTEL TO MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

After breakfast depart from your residence for Masai Mara Game Reserve. We ascend the Great Rift Valley with a stop at the Rift Valley viewpoint for panoramic – views and photography. After this, we drive to Narok town arriving in time for lunch, and after lunch proceed to Masai Mara, arriving late afternoon. You will then go for an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge of your choice.

DAY 2

FULL DAY EXPLORING MASAI MARA

Breakfast at the lodge then proceed with picnic lunch for a full day game drive. Spend the day in Masai Mara, Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary where you will high chances of spotting the ‘big five’ – lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino, and elephant. Game drives are flexible, with the option of going out with picnic lunch boxes to spend the entire day in the park, or you can choose to have an early morning and late afternoon game drives.

At an extra cost, you may visit a local Masai village to see their nomadic lifestyle. The Masai are famous for their bravery, as they have co-existed with the animals over the years.

DAY 3

MASAI MARA TO LAKE NAIVASHA

Early morning breakfast followed by game drive en route to Lake Naivasha. Lake Naivasha is a beautiful shallow freshwater lake fringed by thick papyrus reeds. It draws a great array of bird life to its shoreline. You will visit either the Crescent Island game sanctuary or Hells Gate National Park, this is the only park where you can walk or cycle through as you view animals. You will also have an optional boat ride in the lake where you will see the hippos and several bird’s species. Dinner and overnight at the camp or Lodge of your choice.

DAY 4

LAKE NAIVASHA TO AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

Wake up for activities in Lake Naivasha followed by lunch. After lunch you will start your drive via Nairobi to Amboseli National Park which lies at the floor of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa, whose snow-capped summit presents a splendid view on clear days. The mountain offers scenic backgrounds for photography. You will arrive at your camp or lodge of your choice in the evening for your dinner and overnight.

DAY 5

FULL DAY EXPLORING AMBOSELI

Today after your breakfast you will head for a full day game drive. Amboseli is situated close to Kenya- Tanzania border and is often referred to as “The home of Elephants” since some of the largest Elephant herds are found here. There are also vast groups of zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, buffalos, hippo and antelope. Also, to be found in Amboseli are lions, leopards, cheetah, rhino and many species of plain game. You will return to your lodge or Camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

DAY 6

AMBOSELI TO NAIROBI HOTEL OR AIRPORT

After your breakfast, you will head for a morning game drive to the park. Return to the camp or lodge and leave for Nairobi arriving in the evening where you will be transferred to the airport or your Nairobi Hotel.

For the comfort of the parents’ children below 5 might be advisable for shorter safaris close to the beach Hotels or spending more nights in one lodge or safari camp. Children tend to become tired quickly, and the long bumpy roads are extremely uncomfortable for children.

On safari, you will be driving around to spot different animals; this is called a game drive. When booking your safari, your core interest is to know how many game drives you will be having and for how long, because that determines the chance you have of spotting animals. We can never guarantee the animals you will spot, but our professional driver guides will do their level best for you to see a lot of wildlife.

The best time to visit Kenya depends on what you want to do. Kenya is divided by the equator and is characterized by a tropical climate. We are luck to have 12hours of son and 12 hours of Darkness the whole year.
The weather in Kenya is often ideal, although the coast can be very humid and there are hot, desert-like conditions around Lake Magadi and in the northern areas of the country around Lake Turkana.
During the coolest months of June, July, and August, temperatures in Nairobi are around 60 °F, which can drop to about 50 °F in the Aberdare region and Mount Kenya.
Short rains: November to December It rarely rains all day. Short, heavy rainfalls are usually replaced by sunny periods, which makes this time in Kenya very pleasant.

Safari wear should be comfortable and casual. Evenings and early mornings can be chilly, so warm sweaters are recommended. Low-heeled, comfortable sports or trekking shoes are the most suitable walking shoes, should you intend to join any walking safaris.
We recommend you bring warm clothes, including a fleece or light wool sweater and socks, apart from the normal safari gear. During the day, it can get quite hot, so do not forget sunglasses and a high-factor sunscreen, as well as a sun hat with a small brim.
Due to the limited space in the light aircraft, we advise you to keep your luggage to a minimum. We suggest you pack your luggage into a small, soft bag weighing no more than 15 kg, the luggage limit for local flights issued by the airlines.

Safari’s cost is expensive because you get the total cost for the 4x4 Land Cruiser, park entrance fees, fuel, driver’s allowance, accommodations, drinks in the 4x4, all meals, etc. These costs are paid to us, and we pay for the accommodations.

The lodges and camps we work with cost more because maintaining the high standard costs a lot more in the parks than in towns or cities. Lodges located inside the parks pay equally for Kenya's wildlife services.
