The park is 165 km² in size and is situated 350 kilometers from Nairobi. It ranges in altitude from 800 to 1230 m above sea level. This reserve is known for its unique wildlife species that are not commonly found in other parts of the country, such as the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, and Somali ostrich.
