Nyani pole pole safari
Nyani is a swahili word for ”Baboon” and pole pole means slow. This is ideal safari for guests commencing from Watamu, Malindi, Diani, Nairobi or Mombasa visiting the nearest parks without rush. The safari starts in Tsavo east where you have a chance of spotting the red elephants, Taita hills with hilly topography.
DAY 1: DIANI/WATAMU/MALINDI/MOMBASA BEACH HOTEL TO TSAVO EAST
You will be picked early in the morning at 0635 hrs at your beach Hotel in Malindi, Watamu, Diani or Mombasa then drive to Tsavo East National Park which is about 120km from Mombasa then enter through Bachuma gate.
You will drive through Mombasa city which is the second largest city in Kenya after the capital, Nairobi. The city is rich in History being one of the oldest Towns in East Africa. You will leave the busy city and join the Mombasa-Nairobi highway passing many villages before arriving at Tsavo east National park via Bachuma Gate.
After entry formalities you will commence your game drive en route to the Voi wildlife lodge or Sentrim safari camp or Manyatta camp or Ashnil Aruba lodge (With little supplement Satao camp USD 100 per person ) All meals and overnight at lodge or camp of Choice.
Animals expected to spot
As you drive in the park you will have a chance of seeing lots of animals; zebra’s, elephants’ different types of antelopes, lions, buffalo’s, leopard, giraffe and a variety of different types of bird species.
You will check-in at the accommodation of choice for lunch. After lunch afternoon game drive to 1830 hrs. Then relax and enjoy at the camp or lodge of your choice.
DAY 2: TSAVO EAST NATIONAL PARK TO TAITA HILLS SANCTUARY/LUMO
Embark on your early morning game drive at 6.30am then come back at 8.30am for full breakfast. After breakfast game drive as, you drive out of the park. Once you are out of the park drive approximately 1hr to the sanctuary entrance -A drive that will take you through breath taking views of Taita hills on the horizon.
You will arrive at Saltlick lodge or Lions bluff in time for your lunch. After lunch afternoon game drive in Taita hills, located at the foot of Taita hills as well as game drive at Lumo Community Wildlife Sanctuary.
Taita hills and Lumo sanctuary
Both lie at the heart of the Tsavo ecosystem comprising Tsavo East, West and the Taita Game Sanctuary.
The area is a vital wildlife corridor for the animals of Tsavo East and West, an ancient elephant migratory route and an important breeding site for lions. It is home to abundant and diverse wildlife species, spectacular landscapes, and enjoys the rich cultural heritage of the Taita people.
Lumo Community Sanctuary
The little known 125,000 acre Lumo Community Wildlife Sanctuary is situated between the Taita hills Sanctuary and Tsavo west, only 50 km from Voi on the Taveta road.
Three group ranches joined together to form the Lumo Community Wildlife Sanctuary as a way to use natural resources on their land.
By investing the earnings from tourist activities, the community plays an integral role in conserving the biodiversity of the area by fighting poaching and the bush meat trade and creating awareness of the invaluable wildlife therein.
The sanctuary is a model of how local people benefit from the union of conservation and enterprise in a sustainable way to help alleviate poverty and conserve wildlife for the future generations.
Animal expected to spot
On your game drive you have a chance of spotting lion, leopard, cheetah, serval cat, civet, bat-eared fox, buffalo, giraffe, elephant, baboon, waterbuck, Coke’s hartebeest, eland, gazelle, zebra, mongoose, hyrax, Dik dik, porcupine, and Oryx, the unusual aard-wolf, and both striped and spotted hyena and the prolific bird life features 600 recorded species.

DAY 3: TAITA HILL SANCTUARY/LUMO TO TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK
Early morning game drive before breakfast. After Breakfast depart for Tsavo west National Park.Which is approximate 45minutes drive. After entry formalities at the Tsavo River Gate you will begin your first game drive in Tsavo west driving along Tsavo river looking for wildlife and the beautiful landscapes arriving at your chosen accommodation in time for lunch.
Animal to spot
After lunch relax then proceed for a game drive, enjoy viewing the leopards, cheetahs, elephants, warthogs, dik-diks, rhino and different bird species. At approximately 1830hrs drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay in your chosen accommodation.

DAY 4: TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK TO AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
Breakfast then proceed to Mzima springs for a brief walking safari with an armed ranger.
This nature walk will take you to the hippo pools as well as the underwater fish viewing chamber where you may spot Nile crocodiles as well as different fish species including tilapia and black bass.Part of the Film ‘Out of Africa’ was shot here! After the rewarding walking safari, you will head to Chyulu gate.
Depart Tsavo West and drive to Amboseli national park with a brief stop at Shetani lava -the area’s most recent lava flow!
The drive will last you approximately 2 hours before arriving in this world-renowned national park
You will have lunch at your chosen lodge or camp. After lunch relax up to 1600hrs then embark on an evening game the park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants among other wildlife species.
Other attractions of the park include opportunity for spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro (5894m)-Africa’s highest Mountain
Amboseli is a Maasai word for ‘salty dust”. This is because during the dry season, lake Amboseli dries up and when it’s windy the dust tastes salty!
The national park, covering approximately 390sq. km of swampy area boasts the largest elephant herds as they roam between the swamps and the foot of Africa’s highest mountain!
Other physical attractions include lake Amboseli, the Observation Hill which allows a panoramic view of the better part of this park overlooking Enkongo Narok swamp with its schools of hippos as well as herds of Elephants!
For the avid ornithologists, this swamp does not disappoint with its prolific avifauna.
Animals to spot in Amboseli
Other animals include; buffaloes, hippos and a variety of waterfowl like pelican, Egyptian goose, jacana. You equally have a chance of spotting leopard, cheetah, wild dogs, giraffe, zebra, lion, mongoose, hyrax, dik- dik, lesser kudu, and nocturnal porcupine.
At around 1830hrs proceed back to the Lodge or camp of choice for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 5: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK TO NAIROBI HOTEL/ AIRPORT
Tea or coffee. Early morning game drive in the park. This game drive allows you to see nocturnal animals as they retreat to their hideouts. Breakfast in your lodge. After breakfast depart for Nairobi hotel arriving at around 1530hrs.
