The Ngorongoro Conservation Area as a whole has much to offer but the jewel in its crown the crater. The rim of the crater is 2286 meters above sea level.
The floor contains a small soda lake, called Lake Magadi and estimated that 30 000 animals are living in the crater.
World heritage site
It was therefore very declared a World Heritage Site in 1978. You have a chance of spotting wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, hippo, elephants and black rhino.
Another major attraction to this park is it dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever elusive leopard.
