About Meru National Park
The Meru National Park was made famous through the book and film Born Free based on George and Joy Adamson's work releasing hand raised Lions back into the wild. The park is small by Kenyan standards but remote wild and little visited the tranquillity combined with the scenic beauty makes it extra special to visit the park.
Meru and Kora , Kora is the sister parks of Meru feature jungle, beautifull rivers, swamps, khaki grasslands but also gaunt termite cathedrals.
The Park is home to a large array of wildlife. When visiting the park you can see Grevy's zebras, elephants, Bohor reedbucks, hartebeests, pythons, puff adders, cobras, buffalos and more than 427 recorded species of birds.
