Across Kenya safari
Day 1: Arrival Nairobi
Welcome to Kenya. After a long flight, be sure our lovely attendants will receive you at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and take you to your highly rated hotel for the night and have your breakfast the following morning. You are Now in the glamorous city of Nairobi which is the capital city of the country. Its a busy city with many landmarks and five-star hotels.
Day 2: Nairobi -Masai Mara National Reserve.
Arise and shine. Its a great day with so much fun awaiting us on. On our way to The Masai Mara be sure to see some breathtaking views from the suburbs of Nairobi. The Great Rift Valley and at Mai Mahuu where you will have an escarpment view. You will look down the escarpment and be sure to be mesmerized at the unique and rare view of the rift valley escarpments. Hills Valleys....
you will pass through the hills and valleys of molo to kericho where there are large tea plantations. Masai Mara is 280 KM from Nairobi and will take 5-6 hours. Nairobi to Narok may take up 2 and a half hours. Narok is a dry area with few plants. The last 80 KM may take up to 3 hours since the road is bumpy and much to see and be blown away with. You will arrive in time for an afternoon game drive after your lunch. Masai Mara is the most famous National Park in Kenya with its fame Mostly from the great wildebeest migration.
You will have a chance to interact with the masai (optional) whose culture is very rich and much to explore...Their dances, songs, way of dressing. It’s all a wonder.
Masai Mara is rich in birds. Animals and most important, a beautiful scenery. Masai Mara is 1510 sq. kilometers. Its home to over 95 mammal species and over 570 bird species.
Day3: Masai Mara National Reserve.
Yet another adventurous day it is...!!!You sure are lucky to wake up to a great view of the masai Mara. You may have a bush breakfast (Optional) or a balloon safari over the Mara (optional) which is so exciting. You will then head to a morning game drive. The Masai Mara has over 95 species of mammals, amphibians and reptiles and over 750 birds Species. Its home to the big cat family: elephants, lions; Buffalos, leopards and Other animals like the zebras, hippos, antelopes, hyenas, crocodile, giraffes,orbis,warthogs,gazelles,hartbeests etc. The park has the largest lion’s contribution in Africa.
You will then have lunch then head back for afternoon game drive. Herds of plains zebras can be spotted all over the park. In the Mara river or Talek river, hippos and crocodiles are spotted. For a sky-high bird view of the park, hot air balloons are most preferable. Bush Breakfast will be prepared on landing after balloon safari. Bird watching is also amazing here...You may visit the masai village and interact with their culture and have a live performance of the masai morans. You may purchase masai souvenirs art... If you want, bush dinners, walking tours...it’s all in The Great Masai Mara.
Day4: Masai Mara National Reserve – Lake Nakuru National Park.
You ready for our tour today? It’s going to be all fun and double fun.
Let’s start us up on a morning breakfast at The Masai Mara with its tremendous morning view of the sunrise. We are now headed to the great lake Nakuru in time for an afternoon game drive and a hearty lunch. The distance is 310 km and will take 6 hours 49 minutes. We will pass by keroka to kericho .Here the main crop you will notice is tea .There are vast number of tea plantations and the weather is warm and cool . We will also pass by Molo...quite a bumpy ride herewith the are having many rifts and escarpments and mostly rugged terrain but hey, whose complaining? aren’t we in the great rift valley region. Finally, our destination You will head to lake Nakuru. Its richness in algae attracts THOUSAND SOMETIMES MILLIONS of flamingos alongshore.
188 km around the lake is fenced to protect animals like giraffes and black and white rhinos.
Lake Nakuru National Park Is also home to warthogs, baboons, east black rhinos, soutgern white rhinos, giraffe. There are also oversized pythons in the park, mostly in the woodlands. There are also other bird species other than the flamingos egg African fish eagle, goliath heron, verreaux’s eagle.
The park is 188 square KM.
You will further head to your hotel for the night and bird viewing.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park -Amboseli National Park.
We hope you it a spectacular stay so far in Kenya. We will now head for the Amboseli National Park. Through the hill Nakuru to the glamorous Nairobi city and further through the Athi river to the land of the akamba, Machakos. Machakos is a semi desert area with few plantation and a very hot climate then through Emali and finally here we are. At Amboseli...
The local people around Amboseli are the Masai, who have a very rich culture and its situated at the border of Kenya and Tanzania. Its home to two of the greatest swamps and known for free ranging. It’s the second most popular national park after masai Mara. If not clouded, you will get a clear view of Mountain Kilimanjaro which is the highest free-standing mountain. The area has long dry months.
Amboseli is home to African bush elephants, cape buffalos, Impala, east African lions, blue wildebeest, grants zebras. It is also home to many Kenyan birds.
Day 6: Amboseli National Park-Taita Hills Sanctuary.
A spectacular morning you having? We are now headed to the rich Taita Hills.
Its known for its deep forests and has good farming soil. The neighboring community mainly practice farming due to its rich soils. It’s a 197kM drive From Amboseli to Taita Hills and is an approximately 4 hours’ drive.
The Taita hills are a Precambrian mountain ranges and a vast rainforest. It’s here we will spend the night.
Day 7: Taita Hills Sanctuary -Beach Hotel.
It’s been quite a fantastic week of exploring and adventures. So today, we headed from The Taita Hills to Mombasa, a distance of 196 KM through mwatate to Voi through samburu. Samburu is a dry land with mostly shrubs as the main plantation and finally Mombasa island.
Mombasa is known for its warm weather and sandy beaches.
The Indian Ocean is a breathtaking view and you can take on surfing, boat riding, deep sea diving, watching the sunset.... the beach is simply heaven on earth. It was quite an adventure and fun time spending time with you. I hope you had the be best time of your life and visit us more often.
